Thiago Mazza, 1984, is geboren in Belo Horizonte, Brazilië. Hij is afgestudeerd in Grafisch Ontwerp aan de Staatsuniversiteit van Minas Gerais. Als autodidact in de schilderkunst kwam hij in 2010 in contact met graffiti en sindsdien is hij muren aan het beschilderen. Thiago is een van de exponenten van het Braziliaanse hedendaagse muralisme en maakte deel uit van enkele toonaagevende urban kunstfestivals zoals UpFest (VK), IPAF (Mexico) en CURA (Brazilië).

Zijn werk dialogeert met klassieke schilderkunst, straatkunst en hedendaagse kunst. Thiago Mazza brengt de natuur in zich mee, de vindingrijkheid om deze te transformeren en de kunst om ons er naartoe te brengen. Voor deze mural gebruikte hij planten die hij in de omgeving terugvond.

His work dialogues with classical painting, street art and contemporary art. Thiago Mazza incorporates nature, the ingenuity to transformation and the art of taking us to it. For this mural, he used plants that he found in the neighbourhood.
